Hazardous Waste Regulations 2009 - 23/4/2009

Waste Refrigerant is classified as Hazardous Waste. A number of changes have been introduced in a review of the Hazardous Waste Regulations carried out earlier this year. The changes increase the qualifying limitation to register as a waste carrier to 500kg in any 12-month period and attempt to clarify certain other aspects of the original 2005 Regulations. The changes are effected by the Hazardous Waste (England and Wales)(Amendment) Regulations 2009 (S.I. 2009 No 507). All other requirements of the Regulations will continue to apply to movements of hazardous waste.
