F Gas Regulation

ACRIB F Gas Implementation Group is taking a lead on working with UK Government on the implementation of the European Fluorinated Gases Regulation which came into force on 4th July 2007. It introduced new requirements for leak checking procedures, labelling of new equipment, reporting of production and training and certification of individuals and companies.   The UK has developed new refrigeration handling assessments based which are delivered by City & Guilds and CITB aproved centres. Anyone who did not have an "interim" certificate at the time the legislation came into force on 9th March 2009 and is valid until 9th July 2011,  must now hold one of the new F Gas Qualifications.
